Better Nigeria: I See Change
By Adesuwa
Hello good people of Nigeria and my fellow Abujans, 'Abujans' sounds too proper, LOL.
Am I the only one who has noticed that the traffic lights in Abuja are almost all on and working? Yipeee! So our traffic is better coordinated now.
I was talking to a friend and she was talking about how it was causing traffic and I thought to myself, "we complain too much!", we clamoured for traffic lights now we have them, we complain its slowing us down.
I also noticed how people beat the traffic lights prompts without shame. Have we now become so unruly that we need to be flogged or punished to the right thing?
Well below are some tips that would help us enjoy this new development.
1. Leave for your destination on time! Do not take time for granted and begin to fly on wheels, you may die due to the speed or kill someone else, or you could be tempted to beat the lights and you get caught and spend priceless time and money explaining to the authorities.
2. DO NOT BEAT THE LIGHTS EVEN IF YOU ARE ALONE ON THE ROAD. It’s when no one is watching we know how loyal and law abiding we are.
3. Let's teach our children how to read the signs and obey them. Charity begins at home.
4. Take things easy. If you die today, someone would take your place.
Have a lovely day people!
GOD bless Nigeria and Nigerians

Good moralsuasion. But it alone wil nt change our attitude, there must be a synergy btw moral suasion and discipline in citizens to get it right. Nigeria has a long way to go.
